Over the Easter weekend I had a chance to play with an Insta360 4K 360 camera, so here’s a sample of what that looked like. Use the on-screen joystick or your mouse to look around if you’re on a PC, rotate your smartphone around in your hand if you’re on a mobile device, and press the Google Cardboard symbol for a VR-like experience if you have a VR headset.

Even on mobile you can get up to 4K (2160s) by adjusting the quality on the Youtube app – the file size was over 2GB for this 4 min video, which shows how much detail a high resolution spherical video carries.

Oh and apologies for my weird voice like I’ve got some kind of bizarre throat cold – it was something I couldn’t fix on this particular sample.
